My HP had problems. The tech had me do a complete reinstall and I've been installing all my software. For some reason WordPerfect won't install properly. I have installed and uninstalled rebooted, etc. And every time after it says it is finished when I click on to start it it says that WordPerfect didn't install properly.

It was working fine on this computer before the reinstall -- but a lot of stuff are having problems installing.

But I am completely dependent on WordPerfect for my work.

    Can anyone help?

    It is WordPerfect X3

I'm going to speculate that you have Vista? And your WordPerfect X3 CD is probably an original version or a sp1 version

Word Perfect X3 original and sp1 are not compatible with Vista.

I believe the procedure is to install WordPerfect as you have done and THEN apply the WordPerfect X3 sp2 patch before trying to run it

OK...it wouldn't surprise me if SP3 also introduced a problem for Wordperfect X3...did you try what I suggested anyway?

This is not the same thing, but I ran into a problem not two weeks ago with Wordperfect X3 not working properly with Windows XP sp3 (opening a document from a network share would immediate crash the server!)

Installing the most recent WordPerfect x3 patch (which is sp2) solved that problem on Windows XP sp3 as well
