My laptop has Vista 32 on it, and I think I'm going to do a clean install of it sometime soon to decrap it. My question is: Can I copy the product key of this Vista display under the My Computer properties, uninstall Vista, then reinstall the 64 bit version from http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=240320 and use the product key I wrote down to activate it?
    Thanks.

Yep , you can use the same key which came with 32bit Vista to install 64 bit version same vista ., ie., if it is a Vista Home Prem then you can only use the key to install Vista Home Prem x64 version

also the link you have mentioned is no longer working :( , you could call dell and ask them send a 64bit os dvd or buy it from MS for just 10$

Awesome! Aside from the having to pay out to M$ for a disk, but perhaps I'll find...alternate sources for the disk.
