Thank goodness I use Document Viewer in Ubuntu, and not Adobe. :\

    You're welcome.

For some reason, this particular Reader X security hole news seemed more serious than the previous Reader X vulnerabilities..

Also, I've noticed recently in a few forums that there are lots of people moving to Foxit.. and they also have got rave reviews recently.

    Anyway.. Cheers..

PDF-XChange Viewer here much better than the horrible reader.

Well, I don't think Adobe Reader is "horrible" :D It's a pretty good PDF reader (I've been using it mainly, for the last 12 years, for all my research work)..

It's just that there seems to be too many security holes / vulnerabilities every now and then! :)

    Anyway..

I tried Reader X after having used PDF X-Change for several years. Switched right back after uninstalling Adobe's comparatively bloated effort. PDF X-Change has native x64 support, which is both unusual and nice.

Adobe 10.1.3 version fixes loads of security issues. The reason for announcement above to get people to update :)

Yes and you can note the file without issues. I have some files with over 500 notes and it works well in PDF X-Change.

Downloaded and updated to 10.1.3.....but as with anything never click on or allow a file to open you don't know that how most gets hit with problem and there are some that are stealth unless your A/V or Firewall or malware detectors catch it.

Just get on the latest version and turn on the sandbox... can't believe people still haven't done this.
