How do you set up Adobe to visualize two different PDFs in two separate windows? I couldn't find it in the Preferences.

On my previous computer I was able to run two 'Different' windows (ie like having two different applications open such as IE and Firefox). I realize that I can 'Tile' but it doesn't do exactly what I want to do.

Well you could use Foxitreader, I know that can open PDFs in separate windows. I know it is not the answer you are looking for, but it is quick and free and opens PDFs in separate windows.

Do you have Acrobat Reader or Acrobat? I have Acrobat Professional 7, and if you go into the preferences (Edit | Preferences), then select General, there is a checkbox labeled "Show documents in taskbar (takes effect after next launch of Acrobat)". If that is checked, then you should get what you are after (i.e., two instances of Acrobat in your taskbar, each with one document in it).

    PKShah,

Thanks. That is already set up like that. I was just wondering if two separate windows, as opposed to toggling between two documents in the same window.
