Is the newest version of Ad Aware compatible with Windows Vista? I am looking for a good spyware monitor for my vista laptop. Thanks guys.

    Straight from Ad Aware's site:

I am sure that it works, just not to the potential that it could when it is Vista Ready.

I tried it out. Gets errors and crashes every time you try to scan. Though there are some techniques and tweaks to make it work on Vista, I would just wait it out until its fully compatible.

In the mean time, use , Spybot: Search and Destroy

And when Ad Aware is finally fully compatible, use that too. Two layers of protection.

No. The current Ad-Aware 2007 is only compatible with XP. The Vista compatible version will be out around August.

i would just leave the monitoring to the built.in windows defender (with its shortcoming) and use AdAware Personal ED 1.06r1 to scan the laptop once a week. Plus one av (like avast) and u should be set for the moment with vista.

    cheers ...

^ I agree with Blacmamba. I also get the errors and crashes with Ad Aware. Ok, then I guess I gotta try Spyboy (something which I have never used, haha).

    Thanks guys

Ad-Aware SE Personal works well with Vista, try that.
