I would like to use AVG Free but for whatever reason when I do I can't connect to my pop server receive my email. What's another free anti virus you recommend that shouldn't interfere when email scanning?

Have you tried disabling the E-mail scanner?

Yeah I would try disabling the email scaner. My dad is having this same problem right now. But AVG works fine for him when he turned the email scaner off.

You could try the free version of Avast.

Ya, Avast is the other popular free alternative. I however had problems with Avast working with my mailwasher program so I went with Kaspersky. Not free but a great anti-vir program.

Its a very good program that i like.

Nod32 can scan all my hard drives on my desktop (40gb,120gb and 200gb) in about 3-4 hours however AVG took a day and half and found nothing while nod32 found about 4 bad things(not really bad, just game trainers and stuff to modify the games)

Well I just uninstalled Norton entirely because I wasn't planning on subscribing anyway, and now AVG Free is running perfectly. Even the email scanner works now! My machine is instantly, significantly snappier and quicker. It's SO refreshing. :)

I was wondering about that.... It is generally bad practice to run more than one antivirus program at the same time. Because of how realtime scanning works, they inevitably conflict with one another.
This goes triple for any Norton product. Norton does not like anything else to do its job. You're lucky norton didn't hose your drive.

I would also agree on NOD32, it is an extremely good program. Unfortunately they do not have a free version. but if you want to pay for an AV, I highly recommend it.
