I bought a new ASUS mode; A55A in February. It came pre-instlled with Win8. I've tried every which way to do a fresh install Win7. But it always hangs at a certian point and I think it has to do with partitions. Its waiting for me to do something but I don't know what to do.

I had a Dell laptop for 12 years on Win XP and I loved it. ASUS had good reviews so I bought one.

ASUS will give no support for installing Win7. Support is only for Win8.
ASUS will tell me that Win7 can be installed on my computer but they cannot help me because they don't know how to install it either.
I have tried since February to like Win8 but I hate it more with each passing day. I want no trace of Win8 on my computer.

Can someone....anyone that is familiar with an ASUS tell me exactly what I need to do to install Win7?
And if so, could you tell me like I'm a 6 yr. old? Heck, I'm so desparate I'd probably even pay some one to help me. :D

    Thank you.

So what kinda of W7 install disk do you have first? And did you check to see if there was a downgrade otherwise you should tell them to stick and get a refund and buy another computer that will allow you the downgrade. But you will have to disable the UEFI bios so you can wipe and install W7 what your describing is something the BIOS is blocking you from doing. So look and read your owners manual and find the setup to disable the UEFI bios and then wipe clean and format to W7. Hopefully this works and if not tell Asus your truly dissatisfied with their laptop and demand a refund for poor products and support.
