I have a brand new A8JS and I tried to use Vista that came with it but had loads of trouble with it. I have a few questions about the problems and Vista.

    1. After Vista installation, I installed Office 2007. When I had used Excel 2007 for 2 hours and tried to save again, it didnt let me. I couldnt save, I couldnt open any other program, I basically couldnt do anything but to shut the computer down. When I tried to shut the computer down, Vista said "You can't shut this computer off. You have no privileges." I damn sure had every privilege there is being the only user (administrator). Are those problems due to Vista being a "premature baby" ? Or is there something else behind those things.

    2. I have Windows Xp Pro now installed and if I install Vista to the side, do I have to install every program again on Vista too?

    3. Are there any updates available that make Vista more stable?

    4. Is it wort even installing Vista hence it being a "premature baby" ?

Thank you for the answers. :D

i personally do not think so

hard to say, how did u install OS? how did u install app?

some do and some dont, depending on the app was being written - with m$ product, u have to install them under each OS since the registry hadling will be different on the machines

if u have all needed devices drivers that come with ur laptop, there is no reason why u cannot have a "stable" vista

u have to look around and decide it for urself, there r enough posts at NBR and other forums to present un.biased views of using/not using vista - bottom line define ur needs first and then go from there

    cheers ...

i m not sure about vista recovery CD, try to make a normal vista cd out of this and perform a clean install of vista?

this should be fine, problem can be rooted back to the vista installation then

    cheers ...
