I have Win7 (laptop) and XP (desktop). I connected them through my router (desktop is wired, laptop uses wifi).

    1. In XP, I can only see this path: LaptopUsername/Users/Public. I want to have access to whole HDD, how to do this?
    2. In 7, I can only see this path: //DesktopUsername and I can only see printers and SharedDocs folder. How to access whole HDD?

    Thanks!

That's standard file sharing. It's got nothing to do with the differences between XP and 7. Just enable sharing on any folders you want to share.

OK, I shared a folder on XP and I can access it from 7. However, it seems it does not work the other way around.
