I got the free copy of Vista Ultimate from that feedback program... My question for you all is will it be worth it for me to do the clean install for the 64 bit system. it wont be too bad to do the clean install as all my stuff is backed up on an external. im just wondering if there will be a noticeable increase in speed.

Let me be the first to suggest you search for the answer by typing 64 bit into the search option.. This same question comes up every 3 days or so. If you elect to upgrade, there are many that will assist and there are great threads that will guide you.

If you are thinking about it, might as well try. Nothing like first hand experience to solidify a decision making process.

i did it. have to say haven't had a single problem. 64 bit is rock solid and has great drivers support. plus i get to run cad 08 64 bit :) but you wonr notice a speed increase unless your running 64 bit applications.

I would say x64, just because most people are surprised to see that it really works, despite what others say.
