    Mostly security stuff for NET and Win 7 64 with one Office 2007 security update. I have not installed yet. I'll wait a couple of days to see if anyone has problems. 134 MB total.

    Installed on all my rigs, the number of updates varied a little, Office 2007/2010/2013 had different amounts of updates for one. So far, so good. There is also an update to MSE.

    Had nearly the same amount of updates. Installed, no problems...yet. Usually such a large amount of updates all at once is because Microsoft just released a block of them or your Windows update only checked for them once in the last month.

    It is patch Tuesday today, so it's normal that MS released a chunk of updates. :p

    6 updates, 29.8MB for Windows 8.1 preview only over here.
    Slightly OT: I think something changed on how they update in 8.1, my usual firewall rules that work on 8/7 didn't allow 8.1 to update, but too lazy to investigate further at the moment.

    Updates for Vista came out yesterday. One would not update correctly but it's on the wife's computer and everything seems to be running OK. It took over a half hour and it seemed to be hanging on update 19 whatever that was.

    I guess i really don't understand threads like this. Do you guys ever not install the critical windows updates? I've always installed them as long as I can remember and have never had a problem.

    Is it just me?

    I installed all the updates on Tuesday, 7/9/13. It included Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 July 2013 (KB890830)

    All of the updates were successfully installed.

    Today I checked, and there was another Important update, so I also installed that. After the install, I checked my history, and was confused to see that the same KB890830 was downloaded, and successfully installed. Now I have 2 KB890830 in the update history.

    Did anybody else have 2 identical updates offered, or installed, by MS? :confused:

    So you are the one and only - From my DSL days I always have all windows updating turned off so these threads serve as a reminder. 3Fees has traditionally started the "patch" threads & his are normally the same as mine. Plus I do not have any real world friends that want to communicate about this topic :D
    ~~~ Good catch Dragnoak it appears that tool always recently shows up with the same KB number!
    Like Josea, the thread serves as a reminder in case I forget.
    That's what I've done; all the updaters are set to check but notify only. I want to know what I'm installing beforehand in case it fudges up the OS.
    Same here, that's what I do, although I think MS could do a lot better job than just listing every patch as "a security update" and then linking to a KB article. why not just say what it is in the description?
