    Alright guys,

I usually google all my problems and even though I found a guy that had the same problem I have in this forum, his solution did not work for me.

I don't know why my notebook decided to turn everything into black and white. I know it's not the display because when I turn the pc on it is in color. After I log in to Windows it suddenly turns into b/w.

I've tried updating the 8600m gt drivers and the funny thing is that when it is installing the drivers it comes back to color. When it finishes it goes back to b/w.

I do not have a restore point set up and I'm pretty sure my problem is not related to simple settings (high contrast, appearance and stuff).

    Thanks a lot!

Did you properly uninstall your previous drivers before you attempted to install the new one? Such problem can happen if you have a bad driver update.

Try to uninstall your current drivers via add/remove programs in control panel, the boot into safe mode and run driver cleaner, then reboot and try to install the drivers again, stick with the latest official Nvidia drivers.

If the problem persists, try and see if you can power up an external monitor(if you have one at hand) with your laptop.

Uninstall drivers, go into safe mode, run regedit and delete:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NVIDIA Corporation,
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\ControlSet001\Control\Video
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\ControlSet002\Control\Video
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video.

Make a system restore point first if you want to.

press LEFT ALT and LEFT SHIFT and PRTSCN all at the same time.....

p,s,---screen shots are very helpful when you have a visual problem
