    It's one better.

In all seriousness, the iPhone 8 is a modest upgrade. It has wireless charging now, different case materials (glass back to allow for wireless charging), and a more powerful processor (not that the iPhone 7's processor was the performance bottleneck for typical smartphone use).

Iphone 7 was already destroying Samsung. Geekbench though is weird, shows the 8 is almost on par to intel/ryzen cpus lmao. Maybe this is a Performance per watts metric where in that case it might be possible. But at sustain levels of performance there is no freaking way.

    Totally Agree with You!
iPhone 8 is just a very tough competition to Samsung Galaxy S8!

Those features you just mentioned about iPhone 8 just sound fab!

A few more outlets with additional details...

iPhone 8 Plus batteries swelling in at least 6 different reports
A handful of iPhone 8 Plus phones have split apart in at least five different countries in the past 2 weeks, according to various reports.
    https://www.cnet.com/news/iphone-8-plus-battery-swelling/

"There have been at least six separate reports of iPhone 8 Plus batteries swelling to the point of splitting open their enclosures since the phones first went on sale on Sept. 22.

Stories at MacRumors, The Next Web and 9to5mac as early as last week cited social media postings showing what appeared to be separate incidents in Japan and Taiwan where the phones had split apart because of expanding batteries.

More recently, The Guardian has reported on additional incidents in Greece, Canada and China. Taken together, it adds up to at least six cases exhibiting nearly identical symptoms.

An Apple spokesperson said the company was aware of the reports, and looking into them."

@hmscott, Great to hear that Apple is aware of the reports and going to take some steps in that direction.
