Here the cheapest new iPad Pro I could get is
    iPad Pro 9.7" Wi-Fi 32GB

    which is USD 550

And on Amazon I can see a Microsoft Surface 3 10.8-Inch 128GB WiFi Tablet, Silver (Certified Refurbished)

    It's USD 367

    What do you think?

I have little knowledge about hardware, both prices are good for me, but which is of the better value? Would the surface 3 have a better value? Is a refurbished Microsoft product reliable?

Depends what you're going to be using it for. The Surface 3 (and Surface Pro 4) run full desktop OS's (W10), which will be much more useful for general productivity tasks (working with multiple Word documents, spreadsheets, OneNote note-taking on multiple large PPT decks, etc). On the other hand, the iPad Pro runs iOS, which will give it battery longevity and instant resume/sleep benefits over the Surfaces. Size-wise, the SP4 is a more direct competitor to the iPad Pro, however.

I've decided, surface pro 3, on Amazon, should be a good price now.

iPad Pro is good, however, I still have hard time getting accustomed to iOS environment
