This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    iPad Mini is back and there is a new Air too

    Couple new iPads were just released.
    Mini (5) keeps same dimensions as the old Mini 4 but is much more powerful and supports Apple Pencil.
    Air looks like it re-used chassis of old 10.5" Pro.

    Both still use lightning connector, I'd guess main reason for it is because they use old chassis from previous models.

    I can see that new Mini in my future. Not immediately, but some day.
    I bought two months ago 2018 model when it was on sale, so no new purchases to me for a little while.
