What do you mean Android data? it will wipe that phone completely but your Android Data like the contacts and even app settings and whatnot are by default automatically backed up to your Google account so if you later on buy another Android phone and sign in with your Gmail, you will have your contacts intact.

Now, before you wipe it, Go to Settings / About then tap on the Android OS Build 7 times to enable developer options.

then click back and you should see the developer options. Now in the developer options, turn on OEM Unlock THEN do the factory reset.

If you don't turn on OEM Unlock, then the new owner will not be able to sign in with his own Gmail account during the initial setup until the original owner (which is you) signs in first and since you're selling it online and not in person, obviously you won't be able to sign in while you're in front of your customer to make sure you turn on OEM Unlock so that he can freely sign in with his own Gmail account
