IMO a mobile device like smartphone or tablet is usually a ''passive'' device that we mostly only GET information conveniently with it , it's not something that we can conveniently use to make creation, the most ACTIVE thing I can think of is to text with your device. However, even typing a text passage with iPad is quite painful, compared to using a PC keyboard.
Some said iPad Pro could be a desktop replacement.
I have an iPad mini, I do not have an iPad Pro.
I don't understand, how could it be a desktop replacement?

Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
@kenny1999 it can't be considered as a laptop/desktop replacement because it doesn't work with mouse or similar pointer devices without jailbreak, and jailbreaks are not reliable.

Had Apple dropped a quad-core Atom or Jaguar SoC and used Mac OS X in iPad Pro it'd have been a decent desktop replacement, hey it'd be a Mac OS X tablet that many people have been waiting!
But nope they decided to lock down such a nice big tablet with iOS... even M$ has learned the mistake back in Surface 1 & 2 and changed back to full-blown Windows in Surface 3.Starlight5 likes this. -
