What i mean by waterproof is something with a submergence rating (minimum IP67). I want a waterproof phone for an expedition trip and have 3 requirements that I am unwilling to compromise on:

    1) Decent battery life
    2) As cheap as possible - will even consider used or unbranded Chinese phones.
    3) Submergence rating without the need for a case.

I don't care about anything else. Even if the camera is broken, I don't care! The phone will be used for basic operations only - checking email, browsing the web, Skype, and occasional phone calls. I may also use it as a backup sat nav if my dedicated Garmin breaks (unlikely).

    What would people suggest?
