    any recommendation of
best (or better) smartphone for taking pictures??

I don't actually need digital camera or high price professional camera to take pictures

however most of the time I take pictures with my smartphone it's not focused, even though I always choose auto-mode and wait a couple of seconds and carefully hit the screen without my hands shaking the pictures are often not focused very well. It wastes a lot of time and effort

Apple's and Samsung's flagship phones are currently the two most consistently good in their performance.

If you want a phone to receive text, calls and browse the web.....and you want THE BEST photos.....the NOKIA 1020 is it. The camera on that is on par with entry level DSLRS with kit lens. I owned one, the photos were AMAZING. Don't expect camera speed, but for static subjects The 1020 is KING in the smartphone imaging world. I own a iPhone 6s now, and the camera does not compare on image quality. However, there are many included options on the iPhone that are not on the 1020. Plus the accessory list for the iPhone is second to none.

@kenny1999 Iphone 7 Plus has the best camera as far as I read. Definitely beats Lumia 1020. Moto Z Hasselblad looks great on paper, but sucks in reality.

Yeah, Motorola's Achilles heel has always been camera performance.

I've used that mod extensively with both the Z and the Z Play. No. Just no. The optical zoom is nice, but the actual image quality is bad.

Personally, I bought the S7 Edge for the camera. All of it's other features are secondary. I've found that the S7/Edge with it's Sony IMX260 is just better than the S8 with the IMX333. As for actual image quality, dynamic range, white balance, aperture size, and everything else considered... the S7/Edge is still the best I've found. Plus it's FAST.

If Google would actually implement OIS, I would recommend the Pixel hands down... but their HDR+ mode likes to completely crush shadows leaving almost no recoverable details in post. Meanwhile the S7/Edge output in RAW+JPG, so you can get a usable image immediately or if you'd like you can take that RAW through Lightroom and make something pretty amazing.

As for the LG, if you look at the image data... it's a dumpster fire. Blown out highlights, contrast issues, tint shift, and some pretty bad white balance issues. But that's the JPG quality. I've never looked at RAW from the G6. The one redeeming quality about the G6 in my opinion is that it doesn't use the crazy over-sharpening/noise reduction that Samsung likes to do in extreme situations. But then in RAW those are a non-issue.

This is a stellar example of what can be done with the S7 Edge...

Here's a random shot I took the other day. Nothing special done here except adjusting the highlights.
