I stopped doing those since OEM future updates gets hampered with bad battery life etc... Tried it with Nokia phone and disabled everything including BT, wifi usage access and none helped. I got a Pixel instead.

^^^ disable 'everything' would not be my 1st choice, a sure road to trouble and a phone reset :O)

adb is for bloatware + never used apps, after specifically identifyng them and beeing sure what the effects will be. Especially popular here are those deciding to load by themselves behind my back, connects to internet whenever they wish etc. Got some memory gain, lighter os in practice, control over phone's activity.

Can only say have seen zero negatives regarding battery (rather an increase), and never got problems with any kind of updates (currently samsung, huawei, motorola).

It is great for a lot of things. For instance, taking a worthless piece of crap like a $35 Amazon Fire 7 tablet, rooting it and replacing the operating system entirely. Lineage OS with Gapps is better, faster and no longer a handheld portable billboard. It is actually useful now and worth the $35 purchase price. Slow, but functional and cheap.

This is a good example of appropriate disposability of BGA rubbish, too. Right @Papusan? $35 - yes... $350 - mmm, pretty steep... $3500 - hell no.

... and LineageOS without gapps is even faster, but not for the faint of heart! (=

And, it's all relative. The Fire tablet is "faster" by a lot, but still far from being "fast" LOL. 10 x 0 = 0. But, it is not as miserable to use as it was before, so I take that as a win. While it is a dramatic improvement, it is still a very slow and anemic device.

What (among other things) makes this program so great is it's ability to track\save\revert whatever one does, everything saved on pc. With separate folders for each different phone one may have connected.

Think about it, after some dozens of deletes\disabling\experiments on 2 or 3 phones using 'dos' command > 6 weeks later, needing some adjustment, try to remember what was done :O)

And there's presets, f.ex. change 20 things with one click if a phone is to be used for some special purpose for a period of time.

Did you expect otherwise? ha ha. it's like 50 bucks some days. It's a great tablet for what you pay for it.

I did not. It was even better for me, as I received 2 as free gifts. So, for $50 (or free) you adjust expectations accordingly. Sometimes it is painfully slow to use, but I remind myself that free is a fantastic price, LOL. I keep it on the end table next to my recliner and my use of it is typically limited to things like Google searching to identify the name of an actor or actress on a movie or TV show, and what other movie or TV show they are on because I recognize their face, but can't place them, etc., etc. If it gets much more involved that that level of complexity, I get off my butt and go grab a computer.
