So I was checking my Twitter and I came across this Tweet so I checked it out out of curiosity because as much as I love my Pixel Buds 2 for their reliability and superb gesture controls that work every time and excellent battery life. The sound quality has a lot to be desired.

I then installed Wavelet and granted it full permissions via ADB then ran Spotify and the difference is mind-blowing. Now the loudness is where I want it to be and it fixes the most important thing that's missing from these Pixel buds, the lack of Bass. Songs sound very punchy with good lean bass thanks to its bass booster.

It is not free but or 5 USD, this is a steal!

On internal phone speakers it didn't make a difference. On my cheap in-ear headphones/headset it did improve by 10%. I used xbox wireless headset preset and ATH-55 profile. Switching to USB-C to 3.5mm the difference was, almost unnoticeable since it introduced noises with autoeq On/off. Maybe pixel 4a has spoiled my hearing. Tried Pixel buds 2 profile it was pretty good for calls/music/workout.
I used the free version though with channel auto-tuning.
