I have had my date/time set automatically on my phone since forever. This morning it was weird, my alarm went off, I snoozed, and it never went off again. Then I looked at time and it was earlier than when my alarm normally goes off, so was confused why my alarm went off. Now I realize my time is off by an hour earlier. Eastern Daylight Time is missing from the time zone list too if I go to set it manually. I rebooted my phone and the time was correct then it quickly switched back to an hour earlier. Something is FUBAR. Anyone else have this issue?

Did you do some kind of system update? Can you screenshot it?

This appears to be a common issue with the G2 on all ROMs, regardless of carrier. Most people fix it by enabling automatic time zone and automatic time & date. If you want a software fix, which can come in handy when you don't have cell reception, check out the thread below:

Thanks. I have always used automatic time zone and automatic time and date and has worked fine for three years. Just this morning was the first time this happened out of the blue.

The odd thing is that there is no "Eastern Daylight Time" just "Centeral Daylight Time". It's like the time zone just disappeared.

I'll try the software update for now though, thanks for that. I plan on upgrading my phone soon, like in the next month or so, since it's over three years old and battery life is bad too, but still need time right until I do!

Hah, yeah. The issue is sporadic. If you're lucky, it'll stay correct until you upgrade. Out of curiousity, what are you eyeing as your next phone? Mine is even older and I have a tough enough time choosing that I might hold off until next year.
