Seems to be close to iPhone 8 measurements, iirc.
Sadly, it still comes with the Lightening connector, so I'll have to consider if my iPhone 6 is really too old. Can I still keep running it as my only phone or if I will have to return to the trashheap of Android Abandonware (save Google's own branded phones, which still don't come close to the level of support and updates my iPhone 6 has)?

I'm in for two of them as soon as they release the 12 pro and say it does not have touch Id again.

Don't bother with Android, it's just a mess. Launchers make it acceptable but it's not close to iOS. Yes thsts me saying this after losing my **** at Apple for my sons ipad.

My wife needs a new phone, and I think this is going to be perfect. It would basically be a direct replacement for her iPhone 6s. I don't think she'll miss the headphone jack. I certainly don't. My iPad Pro has one, and I still use a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter because the regular jack being in the corner makes it uncomfortable to hold due to the full-body armor case I have on it.

The 8 is an awesome phone so I guess the se should be deadly.

Wish they did a gold color like the 8. My wife's iphone is the nicest looking device at the moment. All other colors etc pale in comparison to the elegant look of her gold 8. Hmmmm, maybe swap out everything to the new one? hmmmmm indeed!

Looks interesting. I don't plan to switch my phone for at least a year, but been looking into other options, not there are any options out there anymore, since BB and WMP are dead...
Though not sure I would be strong enough to deal again with a digital cancer known as iTunes...

I haven't used iTunes on my computer to interface with my iPhone in at least 5 years. Everything on my phone is backed up to iCloud so when I replaced my old Apple devices, the new ones picked up exactly where I left off. It couldn't have been more seamless.

I have some music I can't access through Spotify, and as far as I know you can't just drag and drop like on other normal phones, so I think it still requires iTunes...

    @saturnotaku

    Forget about the iTunes BS.

Just use iMazing or Syncios . Yes they are paid apps but worth every cent for the amount of time and hassle they will save you. You can open the app, then click on your phone then apps, then choose the music app of your choice? In my case, I use foobar as it's just a plain and simply music player then I drag all the songs in there and boom! They're all on your phone!

Additionally, you can easily copy ringtones, pics, videos, etc.

Give 3utools a try. It is a swiss knife for iOS and iPadOS. You can install just Apple mobile driver and skip iTunes.

Just watched a video comparing speeds of the 8 and new se. the difference is negligible. Se is a tad faster in some things the 8 is faster doing others. Just as comparing my 6s and 8. The Apple phones these days and iOS is so optimized that most iPhones run the same at this point.

You already have iphone 8 so I simply think SE 2 is not worth even if its A13 chip. Unless you're a iPhone 6/6S user, SE2 can be skipped. I hope we'll see Apple refresh iPhones with qualcomm modems.

Even not really worth it if you have a 6s. They are getting ios 14 this fall from all reports

They are both equally good but if I had to pick one, it'd go to iMazing. The interface is nicer and it has an app for both Mac and Windows. When I had an iPhone 11 Pro I had iMazing on my MBP and transferring songs to my iPhone and ringtones was a breeze. I initially only knew about syncios when I was on Windows then I discovered iMazing as I switched to MacOS back then

Keep your 8 until it's no longer supported. The difference between it and the se is minimal in every category. I'm figuring we will get ios 18 before they stop.

It has two revisions newer processor, A13 is no slouch. By the time A11 gets tired, A13 will still have plenty of life left in it, and for cheap. I don't believe in paying more than $500, so its perfect for me. Apple and the rest of the industry that copied it have gone insane with their pricing

I agree but there will always be an apple phone like that now. So I would just wait until you have no support on your current device and then buy another. That's what we are doing. My sons 6s will be first, then our two 8s. And I agree they have gone wacky with pricing.
