    Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any Sonim phone users out there. I have a Sonim XP6 but I owned a XP5300 before. I'm not much of a phone user, but I upgraded just so that I could use google maps; apart from that - it pretty much stays in my bag doing nothing unless I need to answer a call or text someone. The only app that I have downloaded is Notebook, but then someone installed whatsapp a few weeks later.

As I don't use the phone for much, I charged it last friday (13th May) and today, it has 64% of battery left. Though the screen is a touch screen, it's not very big and it has 4800mah battery which is why there's still so much juice left, though I reckon that if you were to abuse apps Iphone/Samsung style, your mileage may vary.

Anybody else have experiences with the Sonim brand?
I ordered mine from ebay for about the quarter of the price of what they were selling it for in the UK.

I think the Sonim phones are only worth getting if you need something rugged and your not near a charger for a few days.
I'm currently in Ghana (Accra) and there's a lot of powercuts in the area where I'm staying in, so the phone has been excellent.
Since the 13th of May - it's still going. It still has 31% left! I've been using the torch more due to the powercuts, very short phone calls and some text. It will definitely last till this friday (27th) but it will be interesting to see how much longer it will go on for.

I bought my brother a Galaxy Note 5 for christmas and he loves it :)

    Just a quick update:

The phone battery lasted until monday morning (today). So that was from the 13th May - 31st May.
That's nearly 2 1/2 weeks. That's about week more than my last Sonim phone.

That's seriously insane battery life lol. I'm lucky to get 12 hours out of my Note 5 but I also use it a ton.

Yes - I don't use my phone very much which is why it lasted for half month :D

Just texting and just very quick calls and the torch sometimes when there is a powercut. I don't play games or listen to music on it, but I reckon that if I did use it a lot, it would probably last around 5 days, as the screen is small so it would use less power than a Galaxy.
