Here’s a first look at ASUS Republic of Gamers ROG Phone along with the accessories it comes with. The ROG Phone is a 6-inch smartphone designed specifically for high-performance mobile gaming.

ROG phone is powered by what Asus is claiming is the world’s fastest speed-binned 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm ® Snapdragon ™ 845 Mobile Platform with gaming-optimized Qualcomm Adreno 630 GPU.

ROG Phone features a unique GameCool vapor-chamber cooling system — with detachable AeroActive Cooler for an extra cooling boost. The ROG phone has a 6-inch AMOLED HDR enabled display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time.

The ROG Phone includes unique side-mounted ports, and the game controls — including two programmable ultrasonic AirTriggers and advanced force-feedback haptics.

It also comes with a range of unique expansion accessories to further enhances the ROG Phone gaming experience. These are the TwinView Dock for dual-screen handheld mode; the Mobile Desktop Dock for desktop-style gaming; and the Gamevice controller with WiGig Dock using 60GHz Wi-Fi for big-screen gaming.

ROG Phone innovations include ASUS Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync support, plus ASUS HyperCharge direct-charge technology for faster, safer and cooler battery charging.

It has a WiGiG dock?! I'm in love, despite the gamer'y aesthetics, smaller screen and my overall disdain towards ASUS devices other than their motherboards!

I'd use it for work, though - not games. Definitely would love a 6.4", or better a 7" business-looking bezel-less phone with same functionality, but more compact and thin second-screen dock, so that it could fit inside jeans pocket together with the phone.

ASUS CEO hinted the ROG Phone is priced higher than the ZenFone 5Z
    [IMG]
    https://technave.com/gadget/ASUS-CE...-priced-higher-than-the-ZenFone-5Z-12366.html
"Finally, the questions that our readers have been asking for the past few weeks - What is the price of the ROG phone?

Seriously, TechNavers, if we knew we would have announced it already but then again, it does show the popularity and while ASUS is keeping their mouth tight on this, we have received news that the gaming phone will be launching in India during the third quarter.

According to ASUS CEO Jerry Shen, not only did he disclosed the ROG Phone's arrival during the third quarter of 2018 but as well as a hint for the price tag. He said that it will cost slightly higher than the ZenFone 5Z, how much is the ZenFone 5Z again? While there's no official price tag for Malaysia yet, we can do an estimation from India's. For the 6GB + 64G model, it cost 29,999 Rupee which is around ~RM1766, followed by 6GB + 128GB for 32,999 Rupee (~RM1942) and 8GB + 256GB for 36,999 Rupee (~RM2178).

Taking consideration that the ROG phone is 8GB + 128GB, we think there's a fair chance that it might be AT LEAST more than RM2K, give or take. However, should the company decide to sell the 8GB + 512GB model, that's a whole different story and the source said that that one could be 50,000 Rupee (~RM2945).

To refresh your memory, the ROG Phone is a dedicated gaming device featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 clocking in at 2.96GHz, a 6-inch AMOLED display, a set of dual 12MP + 8MP rear camera, 4000mAh battery and more. You can read more about it from our first look at the device here. Until then, stay tuned for more ROG news at TechNave.com."

ROG Phone is based on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 SoC, whose eight Kryo CPU cores and Adreno 630 graphics have ample horsepower for the latest games. Rather than taking the standard processor, we worked the company to get a binned version selected specifically for its ability to run at faster frequencies. Exclusive to the ROG Phone, this special chip clocks up to 2.96GHz, nearly 200MHz higher than stock, making it Qualcomm’s fastest-ever mobile platform!

ASUS ROG Phone: Overkill Is Underrated - Part 1
    MrMobile [Michael Fisher]
    Premiered Oct 27, 2018
[ASUS ROG PHONE REVIEW PART 1]

As smartphone designs creep ever closer to total iPhone-like homogenization, any manufacturer that bucks the trend is one that makes me sit up and take notice. So when ASUS announced its crazy ROG Phone at Computex in June, I knew I'd be falling over myself to cover it come release. And that day has finally come.

It's not so much the spec upgrades, like the slightly-speedier Snapdragon processor, that have me stoked for the ROG Phone. It's the fact that ASUS built it for a specific application – gaming – and didn't even think about compromising that vision in pursuit of mass appeal. One look the heavily stylized casing design, replete with copper cooling vents, ultrasonic triggers and a glowing Aura logo, tells you all you need to know about why the ROG Phone exists. That's before you even connect the AeroActive clip-on fan, just one accessory of an entire ecosystem made to guarantee the ROG Phone gives you a mobile gaming experience like no other.

I'll have to use that whole ecosystem before I decide whether the ROG Phone is worth its base price of $899 (especially in light of the fact that its closest competition is $100 cheaper) ... but my early impressions are strong enough that I'm positively giddy about getting the chance to try. Check out Part 1 of my ASUS ROG Phone Review above, and be sure you're so you don't miss Part 2 coming in a few weeks!

This ROG Phone II battery is just silly good. I knew 6000mAh would be great but... I just passed 4 hours of heavy SOT and still have more than 50% left. That's just hilarious. Battery champ 2019 no doubt.

First, Amazon has started carrying the ROG 2, but without Warranty [USA]. It's much less expensive than I expected at $649.99, but I wouldn't buy it without a Warranty. The first ROG Phone had screen problems - cracks under the screen - and although I doubt that will carry over to this generation I can't imagine there won't be some problems that will need warranty repairs, which can get really expensive quickly without a warranty, so I'll keep looking - at least for a warranty in the USA:

Question: It says no warranty? But in package there is warranty card. I am confused.
Answer: Hello, if there is a problem with the phone, we do not provide warranty service in your country, but you can send it back to us, we provide warranty in our country By Boxing electronic global store SELLER on September 14, 2019

Also 8GB right now, 12GB later?

Question: is 8 or 12gb of ram?
Answer: It is 8gb RAM,but we will launch 12gb RAM in the near future. If you want 12gb RAM, you can follow our store, thank you for your question, I am very happy to answer your questions. By Boxing electronic global store SELLER on September 8, 2019
