My old HTC M7 is affected as well, it has an old Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 and is on Android 5.0.2, Supposedly MM 6.0 and above have been patched.

Does MM not get security updates maybe that will patch the vulnerability, or HTC is quite good at updates, I don't know if my old M7 will get a fix from HTC but you never know.

Well the article says Google fixed it in the August patch which should be coming to the 10 late this month which will just leave it with one of them until September. HTC is actually really pretty good with updates for their US unlocked and world wide edition devices, it's just US carriers that suck as usual. Luckily you can convert any HTC 10 into any other SKU fairly easily.
