Very interesting. Will keep my eye on it.
Just hope they have mounted the screen correctly this time around.

I know of the 5 having some screen issues but I bought the 3T which has been problem free and I got my fiance the OP2 almost 2 years ago and it's been pretty problem free. My only gripe with OnePlus has been sometimes being a little overzealous with promised dates with OS upgrades BUT they do happen.

I actually thought about 3T, but no expandable storage is no go for me, and 64GB is not enough.

Hrmm well they did offer the 3T with 128 GB for I think 479 or 489. At the time it was a better deal than the S7, and all the other GSM phone deals. I did want the original PIxel but I couldn't justify like 850 for the Pixel XL

Really? I must have missed that. In my country 3T is still being sold...for the price of 5 with 128GB...
I will see how prices for LG V30 will go, I might go for 5T instead when the time comes for me to upgrade. Or I will go eco and get a new Moto G :D.

No waterproofing? Scratch this one off my list.

Honestly I came from my Z3V being "waterproof" to my OnePlus 3T. I honestly could care less about my phone not being full waterproof. Do you go swimming or take videos in the shower? lol

Dito. I never understood waterproofing. What is so important about it? I also don't swim or shower with my phone.

Wasn't trying to judge, that is a valid point. My Z3V had video of people swimming and shooting video in the ocean, and I just can't see beyond .01% of actual users utilizing their phones for that.

While I haven't used an actual LG product in awhile, I do like how OxygenOS is pretty stock and clean. My 3T just got an Android 8.0 Oreo update this weekend.

This is what attracts me to Oneplus - near stock Android.
Overall I'm hearing a lot of good about LG V30, and that it's skin is OK, but I have read the complains that some people after using it for some time do get a little bit of lag, and this concerns me a bit.
Also, 4GB of RAM vs 8GB (because I would get the 8/128 version). I haven't used an Android device in three years, and I know that it came a long way, but I do remember that Android likes its RAM. Even if today 4GBs are enough, in a couple of years (the minimum period I'm planing on keeping a phone) I'm sure it would be better if there was more RAM.

However I would be interested to know how Oneplus phones are as "phones" as in making calls. I heard that call quality/signal strength on Oneplus is not on par with your usual flagship (S8, V30, etc.)...

Umm my 3T has the 6 GB RAM version, and it's been good even through 2 OS updates. I would say 4 is decent but in a year or 2 it won't be enough. The OnePlus call quality is ok, better than my Sony but worse than flagships. But....it is also half the price.

Yep...same here. I was getting ready to pony up for the star wars edition...just for a collector item. But after reading that NOPE!
