I'm thinking about getting two of these for my gym. One to be at the front desk for people to fill out membership applications and the other for members to use for exercise tutorial videos.

These seem like a good deal for around $200 a piece but wanted to see if anyone had a reason I shouldn't go with these.

    Thanks

It doesn't sound like what you're doing would require the power of the Shield's GPU. Consider lower-cost Android tablets, especially if these are going to be handled by members of the public. This way you're not out $200 when one of them gets destroyed.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have a recommendation for a cheaper android tablet close to the same size and the Shield?

The Asus ZenPad 8 is $130 on Amazon if you want to get something from a name-brand. There are other ones that are cheaper from no-name Chinese brands that could also get the job done. You don't need super-advanced specifications if you're only going to be using web forms and video.
