Personally, after using all three mobile OSes, I like the look & feel of Windows Phone more than Android/iOS. That said, Microsoft really needs to work on their marketing and their efforts to get developers to port their applications from the main two OSes to theirs.

If App-Selection would be more adequate, I mostly would like using my Lumia 930. ;)

Nevertheless, I like the fact that there is some sort of liquid cooling in the 950!

The problem is Microsof't's model of how they developed their app store. They were giving out 10k to ANY app written for the market, and thus the app store is full of crappy apps, written by crappy programmers.

Also 550 for a plastic chassis phone is really laughable, if you want to play in the big leagues with all the other contenders, you need to bring big guns or make your crap REALLY cheap to make waves. @ 550, I see no reason to get this over an iPhone or Android flagship unless you REALLY want Windows Phone (and even that's a joke). gg.

It appears to be a perfectly capable device when viewed in complete isolation. Unfortunately, its NOT viewed in isolation by any potential customer. Instead, they ask themselves "why is this better choice than both an iPhone and a Nexus"? And I honestly can't come up with any explanation for why it's better than both. Certainly not one persuasive enough to outweigh the legitimate concerns about long-term support, app availability, ecosystem, etc (particularly since Microsoft has hit the "reset and start over" button three times in five years with smartphone OSes).

The Lumias made by Nokia had a much better design...

Likewise. Nokia's designs were clean and simple (and rugged.. but that's Nokia for you).

The Microsoft Lumias, at least the colored versions, look like taffy to me. Makes me want to try eating the phone o_O.
