    Hey guys!

I know, if it comes to above mentioned banana phone most of you blow your nose and remembering all the reviews which stated it as a big failure due to heavy throttling/overheating, wlan and service provider issues, etc., ...

And it was so true! Tweaking it under LP 5.1.1 made using it somewhat bearable, BUT as MM 6.0.1 was made public through XDA, I just thought to give it a try before throwing it into the toilet! Man I couldn't have been more wrong!!!
After flashing MM 6.0.1 on it by following the instructions provided over here, I literally held a new phone in my hands! From now on everything was running super smooth and snappy (as it should have been out of the box). :)
    • No microstutters
    • no overheating/throttling
    • Battery life was extended by nearly 40%
    • no crashes or freezes (using it for two days now with MM on it)
    • apps open a bit faster (imo)
    • less lag
    • Camera app is the same
    • New UI design (much smoother, closer to stock and more beautiful)
    • New Settings app
    • New Gallery app
    • Flashlight toggle (finally lol)
    • Far better readability in broad daylight
    • New dialer app
    • New contacts app
    • Quicker and better camera
    • No more overheating issues
    • New notification design
    • New option to eliminate background usage in battery saving mode
    • Massively increased overall performance
    • Increased multitasking performance
    • Google Now On Tap!

I am totally satisfied with the performance now. I additionally replaced the originally Thermal Pad with FujiPoly 17W/mk which surely adds to the performance gain.

This was made out of the box! No fridge or other tricks! Not too shabby I would say.

There IS hope for all banana phone users considering throwing it into the toilet, burning, smashing, chopping it!

Had LG brought the phone like this as it was announced in 2015, I'm sure it would have been a bestseller! For know I got the best bang for the bucks - bought it for 200€!

A BIG, BIG 'thank you' to all the XDA cracks who made this happen! :notworthy:

Now I can say I am a proud owner of the "Banana Phone Rev. 2.0"! :p

    Cheers!
