If rumors are true, Qualcomm will actually use Samsung foundries to release the 820 as a 14nm FinFET chip. Given the commercial failure of the 810, its likely that we will see them by the end of this year. Qualcomm usually releases the successor to their current high end chip around August or September in time for the Note but who knows what will happen with that given the Exynos S6. Qualcomm doing another big.LITTLE though? I think they should just refine the Krait architecture and add 64-bit to it. big.LITTLE is still top young and they stayed on top with their own custom cores for so long, it just seems silly to throw away all that R&D.
