Unboxing the 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch and 12.9 inch. Is the iPad Pro a computer yet? Can it replace a MacBook?

"Is it worth laptop money" and "can it replace a MacBook" are two entirely separate questions. If you want a really nice tablet, the iPad Pro can be worth $1,000. But that doesn't mean it's replacing a laptop.

A really nice sportbike can cost Corolla money. It can be totally "worth the price" without having to be "a sedan replacement."

Depends on what you are using the MacBook for? I could totally replace my laptop with a Tablet, the Only reason I use A laptop is because touchscreens aggravate my arthritis. Hell, I could replace my laptop with a $329 iPad Quite easily.

As an ipad user, this one is easy. NO. I use my ipad for reading, and watching videos while sitting on the couch. If I want to do something, I grab my dell 2 in 1!

For that particular use case, the iPad Pro isn't good value at $1000ish, but the $329 iPad is the best value for a tablet on the market.

Developers will create apps to reach the lowest common denominator. With very few exceptions, we've not seen anything that could really push the first-generation iPad Pro to its limits.

I had one of those but traded up for the 10.5-inch Pro, mostly for the display. Navigating apps and such with the 120 Hz screen is an absolute joy.

Yeah, Not worth the price increase. I have the 128gb LTE "new Ipad" and that was more than expenseive enough for me. I do need to buy a "pencil" for it though. I do like to doodle. But for my purposes, the normal Ipad is more than enough.

Totally understand, but I got the Pro second hand so the price differential wasn't much once I sold the standard one along with the Chromebook I was using at the time.
