Don't you need a 1440p screen to be "Daydream Ready"? Hopefully at least one of the new Nexus devices is compatible with Google's Daydream VR.

If the rumors pan out its basically going to be a Nexus HTC 10 with a tweaked processor. However, I'm highly doubtful that HTC will push out the Marlin and cannibalize sales of the 10. It's much more likely that Huawei gets the high end Nexus this year and then the rumored Alphabet - HTC two year manufacturing contract starts. HTC needs the 10 to sell and a Nexus competitor would kill it.

Yep. But they might just cripple it with design differences and no expandable memory.

Putting the 821 in wouldn't be crippling it though heh. Seems odd to push out the 821 so close to the 823 though. Maybe it's all the defective WiFi chips :p

Reading the title, I expected it would be running Sailfish OS. \=
