    Funny, I was wondering exactly the same thing and actually depending on how you root, often OTA updates are disabled altogether, if phone status is not official (at least that's how it works on my Samsung Galaxy S and Note phones.). Theoretically speaking root is considered security risk all by itself and usually uses vulnerability in OS, so I would bet security fixes will patch holes used to root and will kill root as much as actual viruses. I hope I'm wrong.

    This makes me want to dump Android altogether... Fujitsu F-07c remake with decent battery life, modern CPU and desktop 10, where are you?
