    @Vasudev after you enable camera2api (which requires root in MIUI, afaik) - yes.

    So even with MIUI 9 you need to root, then I think my sister won't allow it. I will try the apk file to see if it works.

    @Starlight5 Did you use twrp to install supersu.zip?

    @Vasudev supersu comes pre-installed in the (unofficial) LineageOS builds I am running. Normally you indeed flash it via TWRP, afaik.

    I installed LOS 14.1 on Core prime and its freaking fast and miles better than Kitkat Stock OS. Nano apps are really great.
    I asked about MIUI 9.

    @Vasudev I didn't try rooting MIUI myself, but from my understanding you need to flash SuperSu.zip via TWRP, then clear Cache & Dalvik Cache, and finally reboot.

    @Vasudev it depends on particular device. You still need to flash them over TWRP.

    So which version of LOS are you using Stable 14.1 or Dreamstar's LOS 15.x?
    So camera2api is already present on LOS?

    @Vasudev I'm using 14.1, camera2api is enabled by default.
