I've been waiting for the Note 10 release to see if it's time to upgrade from my S7 Edge, or wait for cheaper alternatives to arrive - too soon to tell.

I like how the "black bars" at top and bottom of the screen, and most of the "notch" have been "erased" from the Galaxy Note 10, it's very close to what I have been waiting for, but not quite... it needs to have a through the screen hidden camera or popup camera for an unobscured view of the screen.

The S10 5G has a headphone jack + closest specs to the Note 10+ minus the S-Pen, but 5G has little benefit as it's too early to be anything but an expeditionary event - searching far and wide for any kind of 5g service:

We put the 5G and 4G versions of Samsung's Galaxy S10 to the test.
The 5G chips and services now won't deliver the performance of the spiffy 5G of the future - and won't match the marketing hype of today. Both the 5G chips and 5G cellphones coming out now will be slow pokey in comparison to what is available in 2-3 years.
Hopefully in 2-3 years 5G phones will match up with real 5G service for $250-$400 that will out run all of the $1000-$1500 5G phones of today. At that point the investment in 5G should be so astronomical that cellular services will need large numbers of 5G customers to sign on with 5G to pay for the service, so 5G will be in "everything", with the high performance CPU's in every phone required to keep up with the full 5G speeds all across the entire cell phone price range.
Case in point, the Samsung Note 10+ 5G... no millimeter wave (highest speed) 5G...while the Samsung 10 5G doesn't support lower bands, dropping directly to 4G when millimeter wave 5G isn't available:

While AT&T and T-Mobile both plan to run hybrid
5G networks that use high-frequency millimeter-wave for speed and lower or middle-frequency cellular bands for coverage, their versions of the Note 10+ 5G are currently only able to use low-band and mid-band networks, my sources tell me.
That's flipped from the
Galaxy S10 5G, which can only use the high-band networks. It's not clear to me yet why the phones can't handle both kinds of networks, although I confirmed with Qualcomm that the new
X55 modem chipset is able to do so.
"You can expect commercial 5G devices based on this modem supporting both sub6 GHz (FDD, TDD) and mmWave bands. We are working closely with OEMs, operators and infrastructure vendors to enable certain capabilities throughout the second wave of 5G device launches starting later this year," Qualcomm told me in a statement.
The X55-based Galaxy Note 10+ is months away from launch, and it's possible that Samsung could yet figure out how to use the carrier's full, multi-band systems. It isn't looking good, though."

So even waiting for the "2nd wave" X55 5G modem won't be enough to get full band coverage on current 5G services.
It may be 3rd or 4th, or even 5th gen 5G before services and phones deliver on the full performance and wide area coverage of 5G.
