The Duracell model should last longer.

I wish there were alternatives to the thin and light craze in the smartphone market, offering more options like this with up to 3-5 day battery life.

Me personally, I hate this stupid trend of going thinner and thinner. For one, the battery is garbage, and for two, the phones are fragile as a glass. Give me a thick phone with a big battery and I'll take that any day of the week over some girly thin phone.

    Ditto.
I don't understand this trend either.
Just received my LG V30, and the thing is super thin and light (I think even lighter than my BB Q10). Looks almost fragile. Why not make a bit thicker, and put a bigger battery, so it would hold charge longer and be more robust.

I really don't know who's dumb idea was it to think that thinner is better. Sure, ladies might like a small thin phone that goes easily in their purse, but not every body. They need to give us choices.

Every year, every model, gets bigger, notice the battery sizes are stuck at 3000-3500 mAH for th plus/larger models because they simply can't make a battery that thin with more juice. It's absurd man, I bet you 10 times out of 10, you drop your V30 or any of these new phones with no case and it'll be shattered to pieces, there goes your hard earner 800 bucks (at the minimum)

What ticks me off is every damn reviewer goes on boasting, "the battery life should get you through a full day no problem" like that's some super feat or something! Give me a 3 day battery life or 5 with long standby and then we're talking! not a freakin' day with constantly having to top up and charge phones with these wireless chargers and whatnot.

and just when they though they can't go any thinner, now they remove the bezels. WOW!!! isn't that genius! another 2 mm of screen real estate, you have won the Nobel prize Mr. (insert smartphone company name here)

Yeah and now with no bezels, going forward all the phones will look the same, mid range phones to high end phones. After a night out with friends.....it will be like.....damn this not my phone, it is my buddy's iPhone and not my cheap Samsung.

Well, that's market research for you. If majority of people finds slim is more important than battery life, OEMs go for that. It's simple as that.
The niche is left catering with niche products. But the majority goes for what the mainstream wants. It's already starting to be hard to find a smartphone with a headphone jack, let alone good battery life.

What I find funny is that you have these pretty slim phones, but 99% of people still put these big ugly cases to protect them, because, well you have to, otherwise, like you've mentioned, it will go to crap the first time it meets the floor. So what is the whole point of slim and pretty smartphone if you put a big case on it and the phone never sees the light of day?
Why not make phone physically more bigger and sturdier, so you could actually appreciate the design as well?
I do use my V30 without a case at home, but outside I'm sure as hell putting that condom on it...
Nah, you will have any trouble distinguishing Samsung from iPhone - Samsung will have a curved phone whereas iPhone will have a notch.
Although I think Moto will be adding notch for their upcoming X series phone as well...
Personally I don't mind the bezelless design, as long as it is not extremely curved. But either way is fine. I do like the screen real estate you get on a bezelless phone. I can't imagine how big my V30 would be, if it had bezels. The thing is already big for my hands, and with bezels it would be even bigger!
