Mercury was a much better name tho.
Still, I might get this or DTEK60 once my Q10 dies, unless RIM will decide to release BBOS10 phone of course...

After reading a couple reviews, I think this is a really good device. Certainly better than their prior Android offerings to date. And with Blackberry's commitment to prompt security updates, it may be a better option for corporations and security-conscious purchasers than your typical Samsung/LG/Motonovo, while offering more business-friendly features* and a lower price than your typical iPhone (what currently rules among security-conscious businesses).

*Huge battery life, physical keyboard, drag-and-drop file transfers to and from Windows PCs.

Same battery size and processor as the Moto Z Play if I recall correctly, and that device has been getting at least two full days of use off of a charge.

Yesh, precisely, Mr Mobile even mentions this in his video.

If the KEYone uses the software correctly, I can imagine a very optimised battery life!

I am jumping on the bandwagon to see what its like for sure. It won't replace my iPhone because my family is routed into imessage and that works awesome for us, but I could totally use this for some fun for sure!

you don't understand how bad I want this device despite the Galaxy S8 having better specs and whatnot, I don't care! I just want a proper QWERTY Physical keyboard with Android! I tried the PRIV before but didn't like its cramped keyboard but this is perfect!

I hope it will be released sometime in April

Nice keyboard indeed. But it all boils down to being a Blackberry device, that is locked bootloader and no root.

That is like saying that it all boils down to a Ferrari, a locked design and a lawsuit if you customise it without their consent.

The whole purpose is that it's a BlackBerry - the security aspect.. I am not sure what purpose your comment even serves

@Mitlov @jaug1337 in my humble opinion, being late on updates, and having Google and other impossible-to-remove spyware poking around does not make a device more secure by any means. And yes, I actually use my smartphone for business, with real security measures not the marketing blah-blah-blah.

    Ah valid points.

Security measures now a days are basically different shaped walls with spikes and other obstacles, once someone gets the proper gear and a plan, they are all (within reasons) climable.

As sad as it is.. this was proven by the CIA leak :( backdoors and antimatter-powered hacking devices loose within the government, how nice.

And here's a camera comparison between the Galaxy S8 and the BlackBerry KeyOne, very good results from the KeyOne surprisingly! This could be the year's best all round phone with great battery life, a physical keyboard, and a great camera:

I'm definitely considering picking up either the Keyone, or the Oneplus 5, once they're officially released! Been using my cracked S7 for the past two months! Initial battery life on the Keyone has me leaning towards that!

Just pre-ordered a BlackBerry KeyOne with 1 year damage protection for USD $598 (The 1 year damage protection was an extra $54 USD)

Delivery Date: 25th of May 2017

Never been excited about a new phone in such a long time. Bring s back the same kind of excitement I had when I got a BlackBerry Bold 9700.

These days, every Android phone seems to add one thing or two max, or faster CPU or whatnot, this phone seems like a whole new experience with a full keyboard and stellar battery life, not to mention the awesome camera which has the same sensor from the Pixel

Guys this is one of the best phone of the decade! They keyboard is just a joy to type on, has a nice clicky feeling not hard to press like the PRIV.

Phone has 0 bloatware just like stock Android with some BB Apps like the BB Hub.

The battery life is phenomenal, it just refuses to go down! With my Galaxy S7, just leaving it idle drains battery like no tomorrow despite me having location off and all background apps off. With the KeyOne, everything is on including location and it just lasts forever!

and the slower CPU doesn't affect anything, the phone is snappy like heck! Its all about the software optimization and no TouchWiz probably is what makes it feel even smoother than the S7

    More to come soon

The camera is superb, records @ 60 FPS FHD with no video stabilization or 30 FPS with video stabilization

Also, I strongly urge you to see these neat tricks about the keyboard:
