    I came across this thread alleging that some android soc manufactures that quote a maximum speed of 2ghz may only be hitting 1.5-1.6ghz and and speed above is being ignored, but the soc will report that it is at speeds higher that it actually is, basically faking the readings.

    I will mention no brands, but it`s worth a read.

    And I have not one, but two devices with the offending SoCs (X2 with Allwinner H3, X96 with Amlogic S905X), thus I got ripped off twice :mad: But hey they're dirt cheap and as always, "You got what you paid for."

    That said, the X96 is now happily plugged to a TV, a few minor lags but otherwise work fine. Not much time spent on the X2 but that thing can be turned into a full Android computer as it has standard Android GUI available.
