HAL has a point about thin bezels with the iPad. The mini isn't that big an issue because you can one-hand grip the sides since it's smaller... not so much with the 9.7" iPad.

We'll see how it goes but I do like less bezel... however not even considering the bigger iPad anymore because the mini is a much better form factor, lighter and has superior battery life.

Handing it to someone and running away is not considered 'stealing'.

    Time will only tell.

But damn! 7.5mm?! My SSD is thicker than that!

I never liked the look of iOS until iOS 7. Now I find it derivative but very attractive. Regardless, it sure doesn't share the aesthetics of any version of iOS before.

    Damn.

Real talk, though... while I was getting coffee this morning, I laid it down on the counter and I turned to my put something in my backpack that was on the ground. When I look back up, poof... gone. It just disappears. Almost like spontaneous combustion.

That makes 2 Apple devices I've had stolen. I had a MacBook Air Stolen a while back. People with sticky fingers like the Apple products.

    I thought you were joking.

Wait a minute...doesn't iOS 7 devices have that fancy-shmancy "Find my Device" feature? If yes, just tell the Texas Rangers. They'll get your iPad back and they may even let you cut the guy's hands off when his sentence is carried out.

It does, but my iPad is a WiFi only model... no continuous network location like on the WWAN models. Whoever has it has turned it off. The last location on iCloud is where it was taken.

Where were you getting coffee at? If it was a café, wouldn't they have cameras? If it was a break room, plaster signs everywhere to see if you can guilt your coworker to cave. If it was at your house...idk what to tell you other than to break out the nunchucks!

It looks like Windows Phone rendered by a 3 year old.

The weight loss of the Air will be useful - after people have put the inevitable case and keyboard on it, it'll now be only half a pound heavier than a Surface 2 and Cover, yay!

Anyone have a suggestion for an slim iPhone 5 case, honestly I don't care if it really stops drops, just don't want the aluminum part getting dirty.

I've got an Elago slim-fit case for my Galaxy S3 and love it. Get one of the ones with the satin finish ("soft-feeling back"). Doesn't add much size or weight, but it makes the screen and camera slightly recessed for better protection.

On the other hand, if you want a recursive worry case (i.e. worrying about the aluminium/titanium/brass/wood of the phone case getting dirty which you got to stop the aluminium of the phone casing getting dirty) this is what I use, mainly because I carry my iPhone the least and I just needed a novelty case:

There's no need for Tsuname to be spending $100 on a case. If all's he wants is to keep the dirt and scratches off his iPhone, then a cheap $10 gel case will do just fine. At least then you're not spending a fortune on a ebony wood thingamajig that'll only get scratched itself. Better to just buy a cheap soft case you can remove for cleaning easily, and replace readily when it wears down...and make no mistake, any case will wear down with time.

Sarcasm doesn't really apply when Apple products are concerned. Those who aren't Applezombies and don't have a 6-month memory will remember the first time Apple prematurely let the cat out of the bag with the iPhone 3G OS upgrade. They've learned their lessons since then and are doing it a lot less overtly.

Ok, so this iphone 4S was found to have 70% battery life at Apple store test, but from what I have seen the battery is fluctuating a lot more unless 70% is bad itself.

Apple wants 85-90 bucks for this job. I have seen battery kits from $5 - $30 bucks, but I also see very bad reviews in feedback there. Has anyone have had any good experience with any of the third party stores and/or DIY kits or is apple the only credible option?
