    IMNSHO, this could be big for both AMD and Samsung, using RDNA GPU technology in Smartphones is a new market for AMD and a big graphics performance advantage for Samsung. And... Samsung makes ULP Laptops and Tablets too... :)

    In a shock move, Samsung has announced that it has signed a deal with AMD for ultra low power, high performance mobile graphics IP based on AMD's highly-scalable RDNA graphics architecture. In other words, it has dumped Arm's Mali GPUs and gone off with AMD. But, will RDNA deliver on its promises?

    Wasn't QComm Andreno AMD Radeon mobile division until it was sold off? I think Samsung will spit out xbox competitor with Navi GPUs.

    Would be nice if we see some WoA devices on Exynos+AMD. Capable ARM mini-PC that runs Windows well would be a dream come true.

    It's nice to see AMD penetrating more markets, securing funds to advance their architectures in the process. There are rumours the next Nintendo Switch iteration will run an AMD SoC too, which would broaden AMD's mobile expertise. The real appeal of Nvidia Tegra phones back in the day was Nvidia driving developer commitment, attempting to bridge the gap between console games and mobile experiences. Unfortunately, I can't see Samsung or AMD using a similar strategy when the partnership is Exynos exclusive. Speaking of Exynos, I wonder what this partnership will mean for the future of Snapdragon Samsung phones. Maybe the GPUs won't be beefy enough to significantly outperform larger Mali and Adreno alternatives.
