Is anyone honestly surprised that the Note 5 doesn't have a removable battery and microSD? I'm not, and I knew when the S6 was launched that the Note would follow suit.

I am not remotely surprised... But it's such an insult, especially how much they charge for the Note, to have it literally be a large S6 with an S-Pen.

I mean you also get the S-Pen gestures, but yeah let's be honest, it's a larger S6 with a Pen. But that could be said of my Galaxy Note 10.1 over a normal Galaxy Tablet. The Note also has a larger battery than the normal S6....but it should given the larger screen size. I sort of wanted a note but ever since they went super high res screens on the Note, nope.avi

They seem just fine to me--I'm not a "microSD and removable battery or no sale" kind of guy, as my 2014 Moto X demonstrates--but it's harder and harder to justify Samsung's Apple-esque pricing when you can now get a 2015 Moto X Pure or a OnePlus Two for under $400. Especially since so many US carriers are moving away from the traditional subsidized plans (first T-Mobile, now Verizon and US Cellular).

That's exactly my point. I hope T-Mobile picks up the 2015 Moto, its one seriously slick device.

But I'm biased since I have the Nexus 6 and the only complaint I have is that the camera isn't fantastic. For me to have that as my only complaint when I'm one of the pickiest people I know... Says a lot about just how good this device is.

I don't know if T-Mobile will offer it via T-Mobile payment plan, but you will certainly be able to order one direct from Motorola and bring it to T-Mobile. Motorola announced that the Moto X 2015 will be fully compatible with all five of the US's largest carriers.

I'm going to wait and see regarding the Moto X 2015's camera though. They've showed some good sample images, but in my experience, the biggest problem with Motorola cameras is inconsistency. The fact that you can take good pictures doesn't prove that you'll be able to consistently get quality shots with it, and that's a big part of what I want from whatever replaces my Moto X (2014).

I have the original Jump program... It makes sense to stick to their offerings... The Nexus 6 is basically a 6 inch Moto X 2014. The camera can take some amazing shots if we are being honest... But the lag makes it a pain. If I turn HDR+ on, I almost always get a great shot... It just takes 2-3 seconds of me being still to get it.

Samsung has always had great cameras. But I didn't buy a PowerShot G16 for it just to live in the box. It's funny though.. When it comes to regular shots that I want on auto... My phone wins every single time...
