EDIT : Might need T5 kernel, what is that?

    Baidu Browser for Tablet

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baidu.browserhd.inter

Has anybody tried this, i tried turning night mode on, but nothing much has changed.

Can somebody else try it and see if you can get the night mode to work.

There are a few version of the Baidu Browser, I downloaded the Tablet version.

    Thanks

    John.

T5 is their WebKit fork, which is presumably a separate architecture-specific download that can be accessed in the menu somewhere. Seems to be missing on the international version for whatever reason.

I'll check if the Chinese version is any different (and whether English is available on that one).

Edit: well, on my VirtualBox install of the Chinese version that thingy is missing as well. Maybe it's not available on X86. And no English.

I don't really want to test this I-want-every-permission-there-is app on a physical device. Maybe later on an ARM emulator.

It says night mode in the list details list on the android play download website, nothing about being x86 only, so could it be a mistake.

Thanks for looking, need a good led friendly browser.

    John.

initially...as soon as I scroll down, the tabs and address bar are off screen, so it's not a persistent annoyance to me.
