Hey there buddy, I can say there there are many products out there for usb viruses. Sometimes my hobby is to download and try new softwares out there. If you say ANTIVIRUS, the only thing i can say is to use KASPERSKY. Use the 2009 (v8.0.xxxx) version because some viruses cant be removed by old version like the Kaspersky 7.0 in my experience. Trust me not only it prevent USB viruses to enter to your system but it is excellent in files, memory and Internet Viruses. Just in my experience if you have viruses in usb and has been disinfected or deleted by kaspersky you have to format the usb so that to restore the normal autorun and removed the trace of the script used by the virus.

If you are interested in a security suite (antvirus+firewall+etc) i'd say go for the new version of norton internet security 2009 rather than Kaspersky Internet security 2009 because for me the kaspersky made my internet browsing slower compared to NIS. Norton 2009 now is very very different compared to their previous products. Fast, Light and Speedy. Ive tried it in Trial version.

hope i have helped you. Avira is great also. Very very good in detecting viruses and fast but i havent tried it in usb viruses so i cant comment. I have tried when it when they have the promotional 6months FREE PREMIUM KEY.

To sum it up, Purchase KASPERSKY ANTIVIRUS 2009 Ill guarantee you Happiness. P.S. Eset NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 is doomed. version 2.x was great but when 3.0 arrived it cant even remove properly some USB viruses and some Performance issues. They are now releasing version 4 to cover the mess of version 3 but i havent tried it out yet.

AVG is good at detecting these.

Caught about 5 different USB worms already. They are usually disguised as Autorun.inf

You will notice in My Computer that the icon is weird and might give you an Access denied if you directly click it.

    for simple,
    1. disable all autorun on every drive
    2. use flashdisinfector by sUBs ( this will delete all file autorun.inf and create a hidden folder named "autorun.inf" as this will prevent usb virus to spread autorun.inf which most virus only got script to delete file autorun.inf and copy it, while it can't delete folder, and with folder named "autorun.inf", we can't create another file named "autorun.inf"
    3. always update your antivirus
    4. self-awareness (always right click to open, instead of double-click) :p
    5. activate show hidden files, then you can see those nasty virus script and delete it

so far this works for me :D

I suggest you format the USB stick. I always do it after i find an infection. Backup your stuff first of course.
