    Okay so since AVG causes a missing %hs bluescreen of DEATHHHH, i need help figureing out a FREE virus scanner. Any ideas would help

    isn't that the one that can never be removed or something?...

    edit: is there any other then MSE, cuz i kinda dont liek the reviews i read on it

    +1 on Microsoft Security Essentials! Its very lightweight on resources used and its pretty fast too!

    I have tried &/or used many others over the years (including some that require paying for yearly subscriptions) & Microsoft Security Essentials was the most efficient with the least number of failed detections or false positives... even on intentionally infected test systems.

    Another MS Essentials user here. Havent had any problems with it so far. Very lightweight and unobtrusive.

    Another vote for MSE. Just helped a friend with his laptop had Symantec on it - it flagged two files as possible - MSE scan identified, flagged and cleaned them (Trojans).
    I've been sold since they offered it.

    avast here. free was so good i upgraded to pro. used avg/norten/sophos in the past.
