i've googled mediamonkey log keystrokes, and i've found NOTHING. same for the NBR forums.

is mediamonkey actually logging keystrokes, for malicious purposes? or is it just doing something like seeing how many times i skip songs or pause/play?

ThreatFire is based on behavioral. It also detects my Digsby as malicious because of some Digsby updater behavior. I think MediaMonkey is safe, as long as you download it from a safe website.

It is probably a false positive. Because it is a behavior blocker, it looks for certain behaviors and tries to determine if a program is malware. Media monkey might be 'logging keystrokes' as it is waiting for certain keyboard short cuts when even not in focus for example. It is probably just the way the software is written.
