Kaspersky internet security 2011 , is saying that a file on my t-mobile mobile broadband dongle is infected, the thing is the memory on the dongle is read only and cannot be wiped.

I have tried to extract the suspect file AddPbk.exe from the data.bin , to upload to virus total , but Kaspesky just deletes the file immediately.

I seriously suspect Kaspersky threw up a FP.
Though you're certainly not alone regarding warnings on AddPbk.exe.
VirusTotal shows multiple AV/AS scanners barking over this .exe file; link.

The fact that I've read several Google hits on mobile internet dongles and AddPbk.exe also makes me believe it's FP.

And a German forum thread has the same topic, a T-Mobile dongle & Kaspersky user. ( link).
The user has contacted T-Mobile and according to a 'technician' it was related to an update for the dongle, specifically some "Phonebook data".

It looks lke it`s a false positive according to that German website, I will just tell KIS to exclude that file.

    Thanks for that, +REP :)
