when i restore my acer aspire5920g to factory default
and started windows for first time. i deinstall norton with remove tool
the i installed bitdefender 2008 restart again.

bitdefender say theres a virus called svchost or something thats acting like reboot or rebootvirus.

and then bitdefender say your protected virus put in quaretine ,
press accept. but i could't choose a option to delete this virus

only in bitdefender says clean registry. but i think thats only for the reportlogs.
    or scan logs of bitdefender.

later i get once again this pop up of bitdefender saying the virus try to multiply

what the ****. what can i do.

svchost.exe is part of Windows, it's not a virus. Make sure the detected file's name is not similar to svchost e.g ssvchost.exe, svchos.exe etc.

Actually FYI there is a virus that encodes its self as svchost.exe. The best way to tell is to first use a second scanner such as Asquared or Avast free. Then confirm but using Hijackthis and check through the logfile

I cannot remember exactly but they I believe they change the first letter to a capital S or write the whole thing in Capitals... it is a growing trend with windows services :(

Yes it should do that, for safety you could do a full format instead of quick format

flashlight27 , could you post HijackThis log here and also check the location of this all the SVCHOST entries in the task manager .

remember this : if its located in /windows/system32 then it is genuine , all others locations could be considered as Virus .
