Some quick opinions about Spysweeper and will it slow down gameplay?

Spysweeper has been rated highly for quite a while in many reviews that I've seen, but I didn't care for it. The app was thorough but slow, and seemed intrusive with popup warnings and the like, though my system stayed clean while it was installed. You can probably download a free trial; try it out and see what you think.

Just make sure that you don't install the Ask.com toolbar that comes with the trial version.
If you didn't uncheck the toolbar during installation, you will have to remove/uninstall it separately.
Also, the trial version doesn't have a cleaning option. It will scan and detect but not remove threats.
Like bmwrob, I don't care for it.
If you are willing to spend money on an antispyware program, check out SUPERantispyware, A-squared or Malwarebytes'AntiMalware.
    Cheers.

I tried Spysweeper and it was a resource hog. Bogged my laptop down. Try it out though, my laptop was not the quickest of cats. I'm using STOPZilla Anti Spyware now, and am happy with it.

I find Spysweeper to be a bit intrusive, as stated earlier, but I don't think I'll get rid of it. I feel that it does add another layer of security to my system. I'll wait until it expires before I truly make up my mind about keeping it or not, though.
