    I have windows 7 32bit home edition. i got MSE version 2.

    what is the difference between the memberships?

    I am on none right now. Am i subject to less protection?

    No, the levels of 'membership' dictate how much information your computer sends back to MS, this can help identify new viruses or whatever.
